About this event
Beginner Beekeeping Class is designed for new beekeepers and those wanting a refresher. It will be a four-week course covering honey bees and where to buy them, overview of installation, intensive focus on inspections, seasonal management, predators, products of the hive, pests, diseases, common problems and tips.
The classes will be a live at the Milton Community Center. There will be a field visit at the completion of the course for hands on experience. The classes are taught my Master Beekeepers Cindy Elsenbeck and Erica Svatek.
There will be 4 classes which will begin the week of January 14, 2027 and conclude on February 4, 2027. The classes are on Thursdays beginning at 6:30 PM. The cost will be $25 for members and $35.00 for non-members.
The course will be based on the book "Backyard Beekeeping" by Kim Flotum which will be purchased by student.
After registering, you will receive a welcome email with a complete syllabus. The classes will be recorded for review and the link will be provided.
